What moves the price
- Square footage. Bigger floors usually cost less per foot because setup is a fixed cost.
- Slab condition. Cracks, pits, spalling and uneven spots add repair time and material.
- Old coatings and sealers. Grinding off a failed coating is real labor.
- Moisture. A test, and a moisture-mitigating primer if needed, add a step.
- The system. One coat of sealer versus base, broadcast and topcoat. Full flake uses much more material than a light scatter.
- Walls, steps and drains. Stem walls and cove base up the wall add material and hand work.
- Distance and access. Travel time, plus stairs or tight access. A lake home up a steep drive may take longer to set up.
- Season. Cold slabs cure slowly. Winter jobs may need heat or longer cure windows.

Is DIY cheaper?
